GRRRR!! Behind the Scenes of BearCity!

Have heard you the buzz about the new ecstatically hot gay film BearCity? Just shot on the streets of Manhattan and in steamy clubs and cruisy cafes, an adorable 20-something twink discovers his attraction to bears. Our young hero becomes a bear-chaser with an insatiable appetite for these hairy hunks.

Sounds like my life! I love bears. There. I said it.

What’s more, I wish I was all hairy and could grow a real beard like my new friend Brian Keane. You’ve seen the movie reviews. I don't shave my chest because... well... there ain’t nothin’ growin’!

Anyway, the producers gave us access to filming one night so Hart and I drove up to NYC and watched the magic unfold on set at the legendary EAGLE. The set was filled with bears—big, beautiful bears and I got to interview them a few of these hirsute hotties, and their admirers including Village Voice Columnist Michael Musto who is made a cameo appearance in the film! Despite the bar being closed for business, I still that thought there’d be a chance of hooking up with at least one of these beefy men running around shirtless. (And it would've happened if Hart didn't drag my ass out of there.) While watching some of the filming on the roof deck of the bar, one of the daddies sat next to me. Being downwind I caught the smell of his pits and was instantly turned on. I’ve never experienced euphoria from such a husky scent, but it’s not just the film’s protagonist who is learning more about himself on this wild set. Before I got called to do some "official" HOMOPOP business so before I ran off, I leaned in to get a good whiff. I could've smelled him all night long—for you non-show queens, that’s a reference to Lerner & Loewe’s classic My Fair Lady (damn you Hart!) Eventually I crossed paths again with Mr. Good-Smelling Bear in the downstairs bar and he quickly shoved my head into each one of his pits.

I love this job.

Simply S-M*A*S*H-ing

In the "we kinda knew it along along but never really gave it much thought" department, David Ogden Stiers finally came out of the closet in an interview with... uh... an Oklahoma City gay blog. (Note: We've got nothing against Oklahoma City, it's just an odd "venue" to come out to. Maybe he's into cornfed fly-over state dudes?)

The Emmy-nominated actor is of course best known for playing the prissy Charles Winchester III on M*A*S*H eons ago. In celebration we are pleased as punch to serve a lovely selection of men in uniform and daddies.

We offer up our most heartfelt congrats, Mr. DOS! xoxox
